Thoughts on Selectivity

Selectivity puts all of the power and responsibility of choice in your hands. You can choose quality, quantity, timing, location, people, price and circumstance. When you are selective, you never worry about missing out on something. You are always in a state of quiet contentment. You choose how much money you need, where you live, how you live, what you do, who you are and, most importantly, to whom and what you will devote your time, energy and money.

Selectivity gives saying the word no credibility and legitimacy. You decide how much of your resources you want to give away and how much of the other person’s resources that you want to receive.  Selectivity is defined by being direct, simple, clear and concise. It supports the concept that less is more and requires privacy, humility, dignity and simplicity. Selectivity affords you the best of everything not necessarily the best that money can buy but that quality, longevity and reliability are what count the most with both people and possessions.

Selectivity allows you to be truthful and vulnerable with the few people you trust will not abuse it. These are the people that you can confide your innermost thoughts and count on to be there for you when the road is smooth or bumpy. Selectivity means you make a conscious decision to avoid any harmful or destructive person or situation. It encourages you to never take things personally.

Selectivity means you choose to always do your best and to never have a regret. It lets you change your mind and make another selection if something is not feeling quite right. In the end, it means deciding what matters most to you even if this means you must travel through life solo rather than staying with the group. Selectivity comes from being energized, relaxed, comfortable in your own skin and living a simple life on your terms.
