One Way to Brighten a Rainy Day

Do rainy days make you feel sad, sleepy and sluggish? Do you want to feel happy, rested and energetic? Here’s one way to brighten a rainy day for you and someone else.

Walk away from your desk, get out of your office and head to the nearest card store. Purchase a blank card and write a message of gratitude to someone who is either struggling with the rainy weather and could use some good cheer or to someone who has been  positive and productive and helping others to be the same for the past few weeks.

If you don’t want to go outside, then get on the phone and call someone and tell them how much they mean to you, how grateful you are that they are part of your life and that you want them to be happy, healthy and successful. If they are not available then leave them a memorable voicemail that they can play repeatedly every rainy day.

If you would prefer to send an e-mail, then write one to someone who inspires you and who has made a difference in your life. Take your time and choose each word with great care. Have the courage to say what you honestly think and feel about them in your own words.

You have found one way to brighten a rainy day for someone else and in doing so, have found one way to brighten your own rainy day. Do this every rainy day and every sunny day and watch how every day of your life becomes brighter and happier.
