Being assertive has an aura of quiet and quality. Being aggressive has an aura of quick and quantity.

Being assertive involves others. Being aggressive involves yourself.

Being assertive builds bridges. Being aggressive builds walls.

Being assertive attracts friends and supporters. Being aggressive attracts enemies and detractors.

Being assertive results in long-term gain. Being aggressive results in long-term pain.

Being assertive shows that you are peaceful and perceptive. Being aggressive shows that you are problematic and provocative.
